...Okay, actually it's a band of 'stone' through the middle there, but I couldn't resist the title.
The back of Rafael Moneo's extension to the Prado museum/gallery in Madrid, if I remember rightly.

Specifically, Alison's red shoes.
...And yes, she does seem to have a bit of a fixation with dancing...
Daveybot posted a photo:
A few of the many people I saw admiring these doors. I think it's part of Rafael Moneo's extension to the Prado museum.

At the big Sunday fleamarket in Madrid.
Apparently it's the largest in Europe, but I must admit it didn't seem all that great to me. Maybe I needed to be there right at the crack of dawn.
Daveybot posted a photo:
Ah well. Next time.
The Valle Inclan Theatre by Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos (flash interface). It looks rather groovy inside - wish we'd gone in.
Daveybot posted a photo:
I don't know what it means, but this poster was on the side of a florist stall in a market square which was clearly the place to go for meeting communists in Madrid.
Seriously, though - telly-tubbies and swastikas? What the heck?
...For some reason it reminded me of this rather nice poster I saw in Rome a while back.

Deadlines are looming at work, so I found myself walking to the office at 8:00am on Saturday morning. Bleugh.
...Still, it does mean I got to be the only one around the Scottish Parliament in groovy lighting conditions, so it's not a complete loss...
Daveybot posted a photo:
Another of my favourite few shots of this trip. Alison has a new camera, so recently we've been taking hours to travel a few hundred yards! It used to just be me, but now she's caught the blight, too.
This may also be one of the brownest photos I've ever taken - great work blending in, Alison!
Daveybot posted a photo:
I read that the people of Madrid are known to think they get pretty harsh winters. 'nine months of winter, three of hell' is apparently a popular pessimistic saying.
...If they can do this in November I think they need to come visit Scotland!

Some construction workers, I think, having a break in the shade.

Specifically, the tower of Toledo's train station. Nice, eh?

Daveybot posted a photo:
I kid you not - the sky really was this colour as we arrived back in Madrid on the train from Toledo. Amazing, huh?

Toledo CathedralDaveybot posted a photo:
I think I read somewhere that it's the third largest in Europe - which would be impressive, no?

Well, that's what I thought it looked like, anyway...
Toldeo Cathedral - B&WDaveybot posted a photo:
...In reality it was a lot darker than this - it's just that wouldn't have been as good a photo
It photographs, it listens, and it monkeys with the best of em. Truly - is there anything the Daveybot does not do?!
