I haven't quite decided on what my repeating view might be from our new place (here's the last one) but looking out of the window the other evening it seemed that a largish portion of Holyrood Park was on fire - or at least the colour of fire.
Well, I couldn't exactly ignore it...

...either Great or Coal, I think. Or is it Cole? Either way, a small peepy bird.

Presumably an early After Dark user.
I can't get over the variety and quality of all this stencilling - really inspiring stuff for a beginner like me.

Probably my favourite two pieces, these: the gorgeously stylish people on that crazy colour background, and a scale-x-tric track on the pavement!

Some people have already noticed, but I got me a new camera.
I love my Pentax, don't get me wrong, but I've recently been getting a little paid photography work and it seemed about time for an upgrade.
...And, of course, I had to keep up with my arch nemesis.
This shot is probably not a great comparison between old and new because they're both rather dark, noisy, and blurred. Nevertheless, there seems to be a bit of a difference. If there isn't, I just spent a whole lotta money on something unnecessary!

Actually, it's the ceiling of a branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh, just next to St Andrew Square.
Nifty factoid: there's a small metal disc in the entrance hall floor which marks the setting-out point of Edinburgh's New Town.

It's been quite warm and springlike in Edinburgh recently, but this weekend brought with it a very thin layer of cloud. Consequently, everytrhing was well lit but slightly lacking in shadow - a most bizarre lighting situation.
...And one which I thought might bring out the gritty qualities of the St James carpark -
best of all without any sign of life at all. It all felt a bit post-apocalyptic, to be honest...
I know I've done a lot of pretend bleach-bypassing in these Flickring halls, but I swear, these didn't need it - the place really is this desaturated!
