This is great, this. The village of Elie in Fife has a pub with a cricket team who play all their fixtures on the beach - but only for as long as the tide stays out! If you thwack the ball onto the beer terrace then you win a bottle of champagne, too!

At any rate, lounging in the dunes and watching the game is a great way to pass a sunny afternoon.
